Download at 2K or 4K
Pick a resolution before you edit, or export a finished edit larger from the Download menu. You only ever pay the difference.
There are two places resolution comes up, and you can use either. Every plan can use every resolution, including Free. Resolution costs credits, not an upgrade.
Before you edit
In the edit card, the export quality picker (1K, 2K or 4K) sets the size of the edit you are about to run. It starts at 1K.
| Resolution | Long edge | Credits per edit |
|---|---|---|
| 1K | about 1024 px | 1 |
| 2K | about 2048 px | 2 |
| 4K | about 4096 px | 4 |
The Apply button shows the exact cost before you spend anything.
After you edit: the Download menu
The Download button in the editor is a menu:
- Current size downloads the photo as it is. Always free.
- 2K and 4K make a larger copy of the version on screen, without running the edit again.
An upscale export costs only the difference:
| From | To | Credits |
|---|---|---|
| 1K | 2K | 1 |
| 1K | 4K | 3 |
| 2K | 4K | 2 |
So editing at 1K and exporting at 4K costs 4 credits in total, the same as editing at 4K directly. No order of clicks is cheaper than another.
Things that are free
- Downloading a size you already bought for that version. It is saved, so the row says Ready.
- A size the photo already is. If the version on screen is already 4K, there is nothing to upscale and the menu says so.
What an export is, and is not
- The upscaler sharpens and enlarges the pixels that are already there. It does not invent new detail, so it will not add windows, textures or objects to your photo. It also cannot recover detail a very small source photo never had.
- Your light and color adjustments are applied to the larger file.
- An export is a download, not a new version. It does not appear in your version history.
- A 4K export can take a little while. The editor shows its progress while it works.
Not enough credits?
A row you cannot afford shows its price plus Top up. Tapping it opens the credit packs. See buy a credit pack.
The gallery's Download all gives you every photo at its current size. Upscale photos one at a time from the editor.
